Welcome to
Healthy Response

We cultivate healthy lifestyle and nutrition plans for first responders.

Discover What We Do

First responders have many challenges on the job. Nutrition and a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t be one of them.

What We Do

Shift-work presents many challenges to the body due to the disruption of things like sleep cycle, eating patterns and stress response. Additionally, many first responders, especially firefighters, are exposed to toxins that are carcinogenic as well as disruptive to many of the body’s functions. With heart disease and cancer unfortunately playing such a large role in the first responder community, more and more emphasis is being placed on the importance of good nutrition. The hope is that this website will provide both individuals with the information they need to lead a healthy lifestyle as well as companies who are looking to improve the quality of life for their responders.

Additionally, Chloe has worked with first responder departments all over the country including FDNY, Cambridge Fire Department, Boston Police Department and many more to lead a healthier lifestyle by helping them with issues such as weight loss, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. She also serves on the nutrition advisory committee for the First Responder Center for Excellence for Reducing Occupational Illness, Injuries, and Deaths, Inc (FRCE). She is a sought-after speaker and has spoken at Boston Fire’s Mullane Health and Safety Symposium, FDNY’s Uniformed Officers Association NYC Health & Safety Seminar, FDNY’s Annual Retirees Seminar, the National Firefighter Cancer Symposium in Miami, as well as the first ever Women Firefighter’s Health and Wellness Conference held in Boston. Chloe lives outside Boston with her four kids, two dogs and firefighter husband.

Work With Us

Nutrition is more than diet – sleep, stress, exercise, environment, and lifestyle all play a role in maintaining a healthy life. This is especially true for first responders, who must also account for things like occupational exposures and a shift-work schedule. Our presentations focus on the specific nutrient needs that first responders have, clearing up the common nutrition myths and misconceptions out there, how to eat for shift-work, how to use food as medicine, ways to remove harmful toxins after exposures as well as the best go-to foods to make departments the healthiest they can be.

Most of the diets and weight loss programs out there don’t have first responders in mind. Shift-work means that your body doesn’t always respond to the types of diet and eating patterns of someone who works a regular day job. You need someone who understands the nature of your job and can give you the best dietary and lifestyle advice to help you meet your goals.  This 5-module work at your own pace weight loss course is specifically designed for first responders and their unique needs.
